Comprised of four components: an outer pristine brown wrapping paper, an inner distressed wrapping paper, a weathered and moss covered basket and towel, and an edible sculpture of molded bread and fruit. This interactive work invites the viewers to unwrap the piece as if it were a gift, and to bear witness to the increasing levels of decay.

Subverting expectations, the sculpture is made from primarily cake and fondant – an unappetizing exterior giving way to a delicious interior. The interactive portion continues as viewers are encouraged to take part in eating a piece of the sculpture, thus commenting on the cycle of decomposition as well as the unfortunate results of labors of love abandoned.
